Mayco Mix and Our Environment

For many years, we have been working hard to be the leader in our industry not only for quality product and customer service, but also for environmental responsibility. The environment is important to us, so we do our best to insure we do business with the least possible impact on the natural world.

Mayco is totally committed to fulfilling our responsibility to protect the environment. Award-winning and proactive, we are proud of our accomplishments in environmental preservation.

The Mayco Green Team Provides Education

With volunteers from each plant and work group, the Mayco Green Team was established to proactively find ways to reduce environmental impact in all company operations, meeting and exceeding government regulations. Every year the Green Team conducts several environmental sessions, operating in conjunction with the Driver Mentor Program. Green Team sessions are aimed at drivers and plant personnel and are just one of the reasons that Mayco continues to lead the industry in environmental care.

Mayco's Concrete Recovery Washout System

Mayco has implemented a truck mounted washout system called the "Concrete Recovery System". This system was developed to allow drivers to clean their equipment without leaving environmentally detrimental residue on construction sites. Washout is contained and brought back to one of their ready mix plants for recycling. Not only is this better for the environment, but it takes the onus off the contractor or owner to clean the site or city streets.

Features of the Mayco Concrete Recovery System include:

• Aggregate bucket / strainer which captures wash water.
• Detachable hose connector. Connects aggregate bucket / strainer to the pump.
• Bucket rack. Holds aggregate bucket for safe travel.
• Diaphragm Pump. Moves wash water and fine materials out of bucket and into drum.
• Return wash water hose. Used to carry wash water up to drum.
• Hose nipple, which directs wash water into drum.
